About the Role
Golden Masala Indian Cuisine is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher to join our kitchen team in Kelowna, BC. This position is available for full-time or part-time applicants.
The Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher will be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen, and assisting the kitchen team with basic food preparation and other tasks as needed.
Duties may include preparing ingredients, organizing supplies, cleaning workstations, taking out garbage, maintaining dishwashing and storage areas, and helping keep the kitchen clean, safe, and organized.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and willing to support the kitchen team wherever needed. Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements
FOODSAFE Level 1 certification is required.
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to wash and properly store dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to assist with basic food preparation and kitchen duties as directed by the chef.
Must maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dishwashing area.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Must be reliable, punctual, hardworking, and willing to work as part of a team.
Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Must be available for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
