About the Role
Golden Masala Indian Restaurant is looking for a reliable and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is available for both full-time and part-time applicants.
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to our recipes and quality standards, setting up and maintaining your workstation, ensuring proper food handling and storage, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. You will work closely with our chefs and other kitchen team members to ensure orders are prepared accurately, consistently, and on time.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, works well as part of a team, and can perform efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a line cook or in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
FOODSAFE Level 1 certification is required.
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, kitchen safety, and sanitation.
Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and food presentation guidelines.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Must be able to communicate and work well with chefs and other kitchen staff.
Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
Ability to maintain a clean and safe work station throughout the shift.
Must be available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
